20Years in the trade

The company is new. The hands are not. AA Flooring and Design LLC opened in March 2025, after two decades of laying floors, setting tile and templating stone on other people's jobs across north Jersey.

What that buys you is boring, and it is the whole point: the subfloor gets checked before anything goes on top of it, the boards get racked before a single one is nailed, and the seam lands where the light does not hit it. Twenty years is mostly twenty years of learning where jobs go wrong.

How a job runs

Four steps, and you know which one you're in at any point.

  1. You call, we come look

Estimates are free and we do them in person. Photos and square footage get you a range; standing in the room gets you a number. We measure, check the subfloor, and tell you what we find — including the things you were hoping nobody would mention.

  2. You see the material on your own floor

Stain samples go down on your boards, not on a chip in a binder, because oak takes colour differently under your light than under a showroom's. Slabs get tagged at the yard with you there. Nothing is ordered until you have seen the real thing.

  3. We schedule it and hold the date

You get a start date and a realistic finish date, in that order and in writing. If the sequence has to change because a counter template needs the cabinets set first, you hear it from us before it costs you a week.

  4. We finish the edges

Transitions, thresholds, shoe moulding, the last tile against the doorjamb — the parts that separate a floor that looks done from one that looks nearly done. We clean up, haul the debris, and walk the job with you before we take the last payment.
